In 2021, LAP initiated an award issued at every PhD Day (every two years), recognizing the inspiring and heartwarming stories of supervision of PhD students at the LUMC: the Supervisor of the Year award. Each time, PhD students send in their nomination describing why they think their supervisor should be Supervisor of the Year. The LAP board then votes on the top three nomination, and the prizes are awarded as part of a festive ceremony.
