The LAP board currently consists of 8 enthusiastic PhD Candidates. While everybody has tasks of preference, we have board meeting every 2-3 weeks, and regular meetings with the Dean, the Graduate School, and other LUMC parties.

In return, you get to learn about the ins and outs of the LUMC, work with a diverse board of motivated fellow PhD candidates who want to make a difference for the PhD community, and you can have the opportunity to implement your ideas and see them flourish in practice! We look forward to meeting you! Send us your CV and motivation letter!

PhD Representation
PhD Safe Space Sweet

Last month we introduced the PhD Safe Space Sweet! This initiative gives PhD candidates the opportunity to thank someone who has made a meaningful impact on their personal journey—whether through support, encouragement, or simply being there when it mattered most. Curious to see who received the first cake? Check it out!

Do you have someone who made a difference in your PhD journey? This could be a fellow PhD candidate, supervisor, librarian or someone else at the LUMC whose contribution should not go unnoticed. Nominate them for the next PhD Safe Space Sweet which will be awarded in March! Share their story and let us celebrate the unsung heroes of academia.
