LAP has new boardmembers: Merian Kuipers, Enrico de Koning and Ziena Abdulrahman will be joining our board as brand new chair, chair of events and general board member. This means we will be saying goodbye to our beloved Hidde Zittersteijn, Max van Hout, and Niels Harlaar. Thank you for all the time you have given LAP! Grants Newsletter Special -Horizon Europe (July 2020) The Grants Newsletter Special – Horizon Europe has been published on Albinusnet via the newsfeed of the Directorate of Research Policy. PhD introductory meetings Normally we would get together at the Academy Building in Leiden for the introduction programme, but we are not able to host big events in the upcoming months. The planned introductory meetings on 14/09, 12/10, 23/11 and 01/12 will be held online instead. During this meeting you will get more information about what it means to do a PhD at Leiden University. What can you expect from us? And what do we expect from you? We represent PhD candidates at the national level and are therefore a partner for members of the House of Representatives, the Ministry of Education, the VSNU, the KNAW and Academic Transfer. We organize various meetings every year and are active in de AOb (Algemene Onderwijsbond) and Eurodoc (European PhD consultation). PhD candidates from all Dutch universities and UMC's meet at our GMM's.    As of the 25th of September, we are looking for new board members. Since collaborations with most of our partners takes place in Dutch, being fluent in Dutch is a requirement. In light of this, researchers from the University of Amsterdam are conducting a new study to understand how academics are keeping up with the abundance of information around COVID-19. All academic researchers, whether studying COVID-19 or not, are invited to undertake this 10 minute survey.
