We are looking for new board members to start at the end of the summer. If you are interested in becoming a board member, please send in your CV and short motivation to lap@lumc.nl before the 14th of September. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us.

PhD thesis spreadsheet
Click here for a public google spreadsheet in which you can leave your contact details to get in touch with other PhDers who are printing their thesis soon to get a group discount. It is your own responsibility to get in touch with each other and organize the group discount with the printing company.

Results of the Project Implementation LUMC Data Management Guideline
Since 2019 the project team of ‘Implementation LUMC Data Management Guidelines’ worked diligently on setting up information and implementing tools that make it easier for researchers and research supporters to apply data stewardship. The current results are interesting to read for PhD candidates in the LUMC, and can be found in their factsheet.

25.08.2022 - IM, SCIS, LEO, LAP & JUL End of Summer party - for Free!
We are organizing a party together with IM, SCIS, LEO and JUL on the 25th of August! This will be the perfect opportunity to forget about your summerlove and meet new people close to home.

The party is free, but registration is required. There are limited spaces, so register in time.

Buddy system - De Jonge Dokter
The Junior Doctor (De Jonge Dokter) has introduced a 'buddy system'. The idea is that young doctors throughout the Netherlands can connect with each other in a personal and safe way to exchange experiences and chat about all kind of different topics, such as a future training or difficult work-related situations. If you want to join or read more about this idea, check out their website.

12-16.09.2022 - Basic Methods and Reasoning in Biostatistics - LUMC
This course on biostatistics is a yearly course which covers the fundamental toolbox of biostatistical methods plus a solid methodological basis to properly interpret statistical results. Importantly, this course is a mandatory part of the LUMC Graduate School Programme as well as a prerequisite for any of the advanced biostatistical courses offered by LUMC. E-learning ‘Prescribing antibiotics in secondary care’
Do you want to learn when to prescribe which antibiotics? And what types of bacterial infections and treatments there are? Then follow the e-learning 'Antibiotica voorschrijven in de tweede lijn' for free. You do need to register, click here for more information.
