16.05.2023 - Symposium "Accessibility to and through Medtech - 19.00-21.30 @ Lecture Hall 4
The 16th of May Young Medical Delta is organizing their yearly symposium, this year with the topic 'Accessibility to and through Medtech'. Technical innovations are more prevalent in healthcare than ever, which is positive for patients. From allowing doctors to monitor and help more patients, to improving the quality of healthcare, this will all be discussed in the symposium. Click here to sign up.

13.06.2023 - LBSP x LAP Career event - 16.00-18.00 @ BioScience Park
On the 13th of June, the LBSP x LAP career event will make its debut. What is going on at the LBSP? Which innovations and clever ideas are just a stone’s throw away from the LUMC? And what do we, as LUMC PhD candidates, have to offer? We aim to touch upon these questions during multiple rounds of speed-dating in which small groups of students can chat with company representatives. The LBSP x LAP career event will include a plenary session on how to start your own company and speed-dating sessions will take place at BioPartner 1 & 2. The event will be followed by drinks. We will keep you posted on the selection of the companies!

National Think tank (Nationale DenkTank) by PNN
Are you a PhD student who likes to make social impact? Then sign up for the NationaleDenkTank 2023! Together with 20 young thinkers and doers you will follow a four-month full-time program – from 14 August to 15 December – in which you will conduct research and come up with solutions on the theme ‘Aging Meaningfully’.

25.05.2023 Copyright and Open Access for PhD's @ University Library Leiden
As a PhD you will have to deal with copyright in your role as a scholar, researcher, lecturer and author. What are your options in publishing (in open access)? How will you reach the greatest possible audience with your publications? What are your rights and obligations when graduating and depositing your thesis in the Leiden University Library? These and other matters involving copyright will be dealt with in this lecture. Click here for more information and registration.
30.05.2023 - 04.07-2023 Get more success with less stress
If you want your PhD trajectory to be a success, mental and physical health is essential. This is a course for PhD candidates who suffer from work pressure and related stress. In this course, you will gain insight and several practical tools that will help you how to take more care about your mental well-being. The course will be held on Tuesday afternoons from 30 May until 4 July 2023 for six 2,5-hour sessions. The course will be given by Agnes van Rossum, psychologist for PhD candidates. Introductory meetings
These meetings are organized five times a year, and are compulsory for all new PhD candidates. You preferably attend the meeting within the first 2-3 months after registration. For 2023 we’ve started planning new dates for the introductory meetings:
