The webinar "Research during COVID-crisis" was attended by many of you. For those who could not make it there is a complete summary. As a quick recap:

Researchers are allowed to come the the LUMC again, but please stay home for work that can be done from home
Mental health
Talk to your supervisor, try to regain your normal structure and focus, and meet with your colleagues again. And you can always contact the confidentiality counsellors.

To acquire the minimal ECTS that you need to register in Converis, researchers are allowed to search for alternative courses such as online courses.

EBrok crouse
The EBrok is mandatory for all PhD candidates of the LUMC. It can be done from home.

Coursera, edX
Coursera and edX have a lot of free online courses you can follow. Leiden University has a tonne, and we also quite liked the one on Genomic Data Science from John Hopkins University and on R programming from HarvardX. (note: a lot of them are free, but you have to pay if you want a certificate)

CRISP/Cas9 crash course for beginners
A nice online course on CRISPR/Cas9, the latest emerging revolutionizing gene-editing technology in the biological world.

Online biology courses from iBiology
iBiology offers online biology courses for early career scientists, biology students and educators. For instance Image Analysis with ImageJ and Cellprofiler.

EMBL
The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) is one of the world’s leading research institutions. They offer e-learning content that features research carried out and technologies used at EMBL, and they have a youtube series for researchers.

BioBusiness Summer School

Gannt Chart for PhD planning
Not exactly a course, but we found it very helpful in planning our PhD project. Just look up 'Gannt Chart Template' on google to find the most efficient way to plan a long term project. If you are lazy, you can click the link where we googled it for you.
