Status of ongoing or upcoming courses
HRM Learning & Development courses are offered mostly online. This is done with the well-known professional trainers and in an interactive manner. Please register in the usual way. Click here for the complete overview of upcoming courses.

Research Support Portal
On the 25th of May, the Research Support Portal of the Leiden University went live. The portal provides information for researchers on multiple subjects, such as tips for finding fundings, ethical decision making, data management and valorization.

Will PhD ceremonies take place physically or online?
PhD ceremonies will take place fully online (via a livestream) or with a very limited number of people in the small auditorium at the Academy Building. NEW RULE: besides rector, beadle, technician, promotor, secretary and paranymphs you may invite up to 10 guests to the Academy Building! The members of the opposition committee are requested to attend via livestream. For further details see the updated PhD protocol.
Always do the Corona Check before you come in to the University. Answer the five questions on the checklist and stay home if the check tells you to.

Methods in Clinical Cancer Research (MCCR) workshop
13-18 november 2021
The MCCR Workshop aims to develop future leading clinical investigators in conducting clinical trials in cancer. The week-long course has provided training to over 1800 investigators from all over the world since its inception in 1999. Highly recommended for clinical (oncology) PhDs at the end of their project.

ENERGHY Summer School
In June/July 2021, the University of Barcelona (UB) will host a 14-day online Summer School for a new generation of Global Health innovators. The course is designed to empower MSc and PhD students, researchers and young professionals to create new business models with global citizen-centric solutions aimed at democratizing health for all.

The Industry Collaboration Tool-kit: how to communicate and design industry collaborations for PhDs & Postdocs.
Many early-stage researchers can find building a relationship with a company challenging. With many funding opportunities demanding researchers to apply for funding with an industrial partner, building these relationships is becoming more important. The webinar will present a 'tool kit' of skills to help researchers communicate with industry to design such collaborations.

EIT Health: From Scientists to Innovators for Industry (SCI FI) (multiple modules September-December 2021).
If you are a young life scientist, SCI FI can give you the skills you need to thrive as an innovator in the healthcare industry.
Transitioning from academic research to working in the pharma and medtech industries can be challenging. This course helps you overcome that challenge with the guidance of academic and industry partners, so that you can learn from real-life cases and have the opportunity to work with experienced mentors.
Costs € 150-500, depending on type of programme.
